Description: Shoreline Park with picnic facilities and old docks along Charlotte Harbor and Fishing Dock

Vegetation Communities: Oak and palm

Location: Along Charlotte Harbor on Bayshore Road, Charlotte Harbor. Coming South on US 41, turn right on Edgewater and left at the first traffic light (Bayshore Road) to Fishing Pier and beyond. Coming North on 41 from Punta Gorda, turn left from turn lane immediately after crossing Gilcrest Bridge (Charlotte Harbor)on to Bayshore Road.

Amenities: Bike trails, canoe/kayak, fishing, nature trail/ walking trail, picnic shelter, restrooms.

Animal Species You may not be able to see all these species

Birds that you may encounter year-round include:

Brown Pelican Great Egret Little Blue Heron
Green Heron Black-crowned Night Heron Yellow-crowned Night Heron
Laughing Gull Ring-billed Gull Least Tern
Royal Tern Red-bellied Woodpecker Mourning Dove
Ground Dove Cardinal Mockingbird
Blue Jay Common Grackle Boat-tailed Grackle

Migrants that you may see:

In the Fall and Winter, you will also likely see: Robin , Blue-gray Natcatcher, and some shore birds at a low winter tide.

Documented Mammals:

Grey Squirrel
Due to the proximity of Bayshore Road, residential and multi-family homes, few mammals are likely to be able to inhabit the area.
